Creating your first spelling list.

1. Click the "Create a New Spelling List" button on the Start Page.
2.  Enter your spelling word in the "Enter Word" edit box. Step 1 on the Words Page.
3.  Click the record button(red circle) to start recording your word. Step 2 on the Words Page.
4.  Say the word in your microphone.
5.  Click the stop rec. button(yellow square) to stop recording the word. Step 3 on the Words Page.
6.  Click the play button(green triangle) to listen if needed. Step 4 on the Words Page.
7.  If sounds O.K., click the "Add to List" button to add the word to your current list. Go to step 10
8.  If you don't like it, click the "Redo Recording" button. Go to step 3
9.  Continue adding words repeating steps 3-9 until you've entered your entire spelling list.
10. Don't forget to save the list before you exit Spelling Test Practice.  It's at the top, Save Button.

Now you can:

Click the test button to go to the test page so that you can take a spelling test.

 

Taking a Spelling Test

1.  After you have opened or created a new spelling list, go to the Test Page by clicking the Test button at the top of the screen.
2. Click the "Start" button to start a test.
3.  Click the "Listen to Word" button to hear the spelling word as many times as needed.
4.  Type the word in the edit box to the right of "Spell it".
5.  Click the "Check" button or press Enter on the keyboard to see if your right.  You can press the "Skip Word" button to add the word to your vocabulary list.
6.  Click the "Next" button or press Enter to continue to next word, or click the "Stop" button to stop taking the spelling test.
7.  Repeat 3-6 until there are no more words.
8.  Check out your score.
