Spelling Tip
Keeping or dropping a final y

The basic rule is change the y to i when it follows a consonant.  But keep the y if it follows a vowel, when the ending is ing or when it ends a proper name.
Examples:  beauty beauties, worry worried, day days, and cry crying.
